EVENTS AT CASCADES HUMANE SOCIETY
Sign up by following the link: https://chscalendar.as.me We are excited to announce that, once again, our friends at Sandhill Crane Vineyards are working with us at CHS to roll out a fun and safe Wine & Whiskers event! Our cat-awareness wine-tasting and food-purring fundraiser event debuted in April 2018 at the lovely Forty Nine South bringing together wineries from across the Jackson and surrounding areas. It was a wildly successful event, and helped raise much-needed funds for homeless, sick, and abandoned pets at CHS. It started as an in-house event where guests would mingle and taste wine purr-fectly paired with a complimentary food item, but was forced to take on a smaller, more intimate role in 2020 as we faced a world-wide pandemic. Knowing how important fundraising events are for CHS, our friends at Sandhill Crane Vineyards provided a solution by offering to host the event for us. So, how does it work? Tickets may be redeemed at Sandhill Crane Vineyards anytime in the months of May & June during their normal operating hours: Wednesday & Thursday We are excited to, once again, be a part of the BISSELL Pet Foundation's Empty the Shelter! Paws in the Park is one of Cascades Humane Society's largest fundraisers of the year. This year, we are excited to welcome back Ultimate Air Dogs (doggie dock jumping), our chip-timed 5k, a shorter 'Woof Walk', food by the Jackson Breakfast Rotary, games, and fun all in a fresh new location - downtown Jackson! Leashed dogs are welcome and encouraged to attend and participate in the event! A schedule of events will be posted soon! For more information and how to register for the 5k or Woof Walk, click the sign up button below. More details coming soon! During the months of November and December and in honor of Veteran's Day, and while funding lasts, Friends of the Animals and the Samuel Higby & Margaret H. Camp. We invite you to consider adding to your 'pack' by participating. The Bissell Pet Foundation will be sponsoring a reduced-fee adoption event right here at CHS. What does that mean? Each and every animal will have a reduced fee adoption price of just $25! Both cats and dogs will be available.
Each animal will be spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, disease tested, and up to date on parasite prevention.
If you have pets at home, we will require vaccine records to adopt. If you have dog(s) at home and are adopting a dog, we require a meet & greet, so plan to bring your dog with you.
All meet & greets will happen outside, so be sure you have someone to help you with your pet as we are not able to let dogs come into the facility.
How can you participate?
If you are interested in expediting the process, please visit our website: www.chspets.org, and fill out an application for adoption before you come in. Please understand that this will not hold an animal for you.
Because we cannot hold animals for this event, please be aware that the pet you are interested in could go home before the event begins.
CHS is requiring all patrons to wear a mask. If you don't have one, we will have them available for sale for $1 each. We are limited on the number of guests that we are able to accommodate at one time in our facility so as to allow ample space for social distancing.
If you have questions about adoptable pets, please give our Adoption Team a call at 517-787-7387 ext. 110 or email adopt@chspets.org
