Becoming a Business Super Hero or Hero means you will support one of the oldest and most respected non-profits in Jackson County. As a non-profit, CHS does not receive any government funding nor do we receive support from national or state pet umbrella groups or humane societies. Our ability to continue the level of care we give each animal relies solely on the generosity of the community. We Do More than Just “Routine” Care
Each of our animals receives medical care (spay or neuter surgery, disease testing, vaccinations, and parasite prevention) and as much food, water, and love as they need. Some animals need more time before being adopted and although we are a limited in-take shelter, we are committed to each animal and will never euthanize for space.

Your sponsorship will not go unnoticed. With more than 1,200 adoptions, 13,000+ email recipients, 25,000+ followers on social media, and 700+ event attendees, your partnership will be recognized through-out the county and the surrounding areas.

Besides finding forever homes for our adoptable animals, CHS helps our community in various ways

Pet Food Pantry – supplemental free food for families in need who are struggling financially

Low Cost Spay and Neuter Program – offers reduced rates with a goal of keeping the pet population in Jackson County at manageable levels

Monthly Low-Cost Vaccine Clinics – offer vaccines, tests, microchips, and nail trims at affordable prices to the public, helping to keep the local pet population healthy.
