Annual Cascades Humane Society Calendar Contest Fundraiser!
Congratulations to Olaf, the 2024 CHS calendar cover winner! Thank you to the 12 other pets who participated, fundraised, and secured a spot in our calendar. Everyone who participated, donated, or shared our fundraiser helped to make it a huge success!
Does your pet have what it takes to be a model?! The model search for the 2024 official Cascades Humane Society calendar will soon begin!
The annual Calendar Contest Fundraiser started back in 2013. Hundreds of pets have competed to raise funds for CHS and the homeless animals in our care. This is our 11th year! We love seeing all of your pets, and are so incredibly thankful for your participation and support of CHS and our events!
The theme for the 2024 calendar will be “Super Pets”! Your pet will help save the day by raising much-needed funds for CHS! (Plus, they’ll look super cute in a cape or super hero costume, though not required.)
Freeland Photography will be scheduling photo sessions for April 14-16th to be held at CHS (1515 Carmen Drive, Jackson, MI 49202). Registration is open! All friendly pets are welcome. We have seen it all- guinea pigs, ferrets, lizards, etc!
Our annual calendar contest is a fundraiser requiring a donation to Cascades Humane Society of $10 per pet when you schedule your photo session. Each photo session is an entry into the calendar contest.
Immediately following your photo session, you will select your favorite picture of your pet(s) to be entered into the contest, and you will have an opportunity to order digital images of any of the photos taken during the session.
After you have selected your favorite photo, CHS staff will walk you through the process of setting up your very own fundraising profile page.
Photos used in the calendar months will be decided through a peer-to-peer style fundraiser online. The top 13 fundraisers will be featured in the month of their choice. In addition to full bragging rights, the top fundraiser will also be featured on the cover.
VOTING
The voting period for the contest begins Friday, April 21st at noon and goes through Tuesday, May 2nd at 5:00 p.m. (EST). A $1 donation to Cascades Humane Society equals one ‘vote’ (for example, 10 votes is $10). You can submit as many ‘votes’ as you like! After all, it is for the animals! In-person donations will be accepted through Tuesday, May 2nd at 5:00 p.m. (EST) at CHS.
The 13 photos that have raised the most money at 5:00 p.m. (EST) on Tuesday, May 2nd will be the winners!
No pet? You can still participate!
You can sponsor a photo session for an adoptable CHS animal for $10 – let us know if you prefer to sponsor a cat or a dog… we will select an animal that has been at CHS looking for his or her forever home the longest! A professional photograph is a great asset for the animals patiently waiting at CHS to find their forever humans!
This year’s theme? SUPER PETS! Dress your pet up in a super hero costume, borrow one of our capes, or even come plain! Costumes and capes are NOT required. Your pet can take multiple photos, with or without their costume/cape so you have options to choose from.
